PRK: It’s a laser refractive surgery technique used to correct vision problems such as nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism. With this procedure, we ablate or remove the most superficial tissue of the cornea, known as the epithelium. No incision is made in the cornea, which can be an advantage for people with thin corneas who are not candidates for LASIK.
