At MasVision, we are committed to offering you the best tools so you can see the world in all its clarity. Today, we want to introduce you to one of the greatest innovations in ophthalmology: the Schwind Amaris 1050RS laser—the fastest and most precise laser technology in the world for refractive surgery.

In this blog, we’ll explain how this cutting-edge laser can transform your vision in just seconds.

What Is the Schwind Amaris 1050RS Laser?

The Schwind Amaris 1050RS is the most advanced device in the Schwind family. It is considered the fastest laser in the world, delivering 1,050 pulses per second. This record-breaking speed allows for quicker and more precise correction of visual impairments such as myopia, hyperopia, astigmatism, and presbyopia.

When we say it’s fast, we mean it. Thanks to its ability to deliver over a thousand laser pulses per second, refractive surgery is completed in record time—making the procedure more comfortable for the patient and speeding up recovery.

But it’s not just about speed. This laser offers unmatched customization, combining rapid delivery with a system that tailors the treatment to the exact shape of your cornea—like a custom-fit suit.

What Advantages Does This Laser Offer for Your Refractive Surgery?

  1. Record-Speed Surgery: The Schwind Amaris 1050RS is so fast that it can correct your vision in just a few seconds. This significantly shortens the procedure time and makes it much more comfortable for you.

  2. World-Class Laser Techniques: With this laser, we perform fully laser-based procedures. That means no instruments ever touch your cornea—only laser light works on your eye, making the process safer and more precise.

  3. Superior Personalization: Before surgery, we perform a detailed map of your cornea using the MS-39, the world’s leading diagnostic ecosystem. This allows us to understand every detail of your eye and sculpt your cornea with total precision.

  4. Dimensional Eye Tracking: Our eyes move constantly, even when we think they’re still. During surgery, the Schwind Amaris tracks eye movements in 7 dimensions in real time. Each laser pulse is placed exactly where it needs to be, ensuring unmatched accuracy.

  5. Thermal Control System: Speed creates heat. That’s why this laser includes a patented thermal control system that keeps the cornea cool throughout the procedure. This protects your eye tissue and promotes a faster, more comfortable recovery.

    How Does Pre-Surgery Diagnosis Work?

Before performing any correction, we need to understand exactly how your eye is shaped. At MasVision, we use the MS-39—the world’s most advanced ocular diagnostic system.

With this system, we create a 3D map of your cornea, capturing its shape, thickness, and any irregularities. This map guides the Schwind Amaris 1050RS laser with absolute precision, ensuring a customized treatment for each patient.

Thanks to this powerful combination of diagnostics and tailored laser correction, we can offer world-class outcomes in refractive surgery.

What Do Patients Feel During Surgery with the Schwind Amaris Laser?

    ""

Refractive surgery with the Schwind Amaris 1050RS is fast, safe, and virtually painless. Many patients describe the experience as “quicker than expected.”

In fact, some say that by the time they ask, “Has it started?”, the surgery is already finished. Since there are no blades involved and the laser doesn’t physically touch the cornea, discomfort is minimal. Recovery is faster than with older technologies, and many patients report noticeable vision improvement on the very first day.
